Pool Heating

Most people prefer to use a pool that is over 80 degrees F, therefore we recommend that you take the option of Pool Heating between the months of October and May if you wish to use the pool.

Electric pool heaters are expensive to operate. The pump turns on whenever the filter is on for approximately 8 hours per day.

This raises the desired water temperature up to a maximum of 85 degrees F as regulated by Florida Law. However, if the air temperature drops below 55 degrees F, the pump will not be able to heat the water effectively as they rely on sucking warm air in as part of its operation. Although the heat pump will still be operating, it will not effectively heat the water, unfortunately the operating cost remains the same and no refund can be made.

Whilst the pool water may heat up during the day - the cooler night temperature may revert this back to the lower temperature.  Use of the pool cover is recommended to retain the water heat.
